    《高等代数》作为高等师范院校数学系本科生在一年级开设的一门主干基础课，必修课，共142学时。该课程对提高学生的抽象思维能力、逻辑推理能力，培养学生创造能力，加强“三基”（基础知识、基本理论、基本理论）以及为后继课程的学习都起着非常重要及不可替代的作用。
    该课程经过近三年的建设，已经有了较合理的师资队伍，确定了合适的教材，购置了部分参考书，编写了辅导材料，建立了题库，并制作了部分电子教案等。
